The ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition) is a gold-standard, face-to-face assessment involving a series of structured activities and conversations. These are designed to explore how you communicate, interact socially, manage emotions, and respond to different situations—helping us understand whether you may meet the criteria for an autism diagnosis.
What to Expect
- Your Occupational Therapist will guide you through the session in a calm, supportive environment.
- You don’t need to study or prepare in a specific way—but it can be helpful to reflect beforehand on any difficulties you’ve experienced in social situations, communication, or sensory processing.
- If you have past reports, school records, or other relevant documents, feel free to bring them along.
After the Assessment
Your OT will share this report with our Consultant Psychiatrist, who will review it and meet with the OT to discuss your case. Together, they will make a joint diagnostic decision, ensuring your outcome is thoughtful, accurate, and tailored to your needs.
Follow-Up Support £200 per hour
Whether you receive a diagnosis or not, we can provide recommendations for support, self-understanding, and access to services or accommodations that may help you thrive.
