Nabela Shafiq
Nabela is a registered mental health occupational therapist with extensive clinical experience across diverse settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in occupational therapy, equipping her with a thorough understanding of mental health and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Nabela has worked in various settings, including dementia care, learning disabilities, neurology, forensic services, community care, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and eating disorders. She has supported individuals managing conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ASD, psychosis, CPTSD, eating disorders and mood disorders.
Trained in evidence-based approaches such as RO-DBT, MANTRA, CBT, DBT, and CBT-E, as well as occupational formulation and goal-setting techniques, Nabela emphasises a collaborative and individualised process to identify meaningful goals that align with each client’s values and aspirations. Her passion lies in empowering clients to achieve their goals and reconnect with what brings fulfillment to their lives.
Outside of her professional practice, Nabela enjoys playing sports, cooking, and baking. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
