Emily Vanns

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Emily has over ten years experience working in person oriented roles including retail, visitor services, creating and facilitating art workshops and most recently in support work and occupational therapy. For the past two years they have specialised as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in mental health rehabilitation for people living with treatment resistant diagnoses and complex needs. Emily is a big believer in holistic, person-centred care and uses their wide range of skills and experiences to provide emotional, practical and creative support.

Emily has an educational background in Fine Art, with a degree from Kingston University and an intensive scholarship from The Royal Drawing School. They have used their knowledge to teach drawing and lino printing skills and are passionate about making creativity accessible to all.

If you can’t find Emily in the studio or curled up with a book, you’ll find them outside with their hands in the soil. They are a big believer in the healing powers of nature and aspire to continue their learning journey, adding social and therapeutic horticulture to their tool box.
